The seventh edition of the continent’s biggest reality series Big Brother Africa is here….and this time it’s a STARGAME!
Running for 91 days and featuring housemates from 14 countries, the race is on for a winner take all cash prize of USD 300 000. Adding to the drama and excitement is the fact that this year entrants had to DOUBLE-UP to participate…for the first time ever! Friends, family, colleagues, couples, all kinds of people have taken up the challenge and only time will tell what this fresh twist will bring to the always dynamic, always entertaining show. The stage is set for 91 days in which human emotion, attitude and action is put to the test.
And to make sure that you don’t miss a moment, it will all be screened live 24/7 on DStv channel 198 to audiences in 47 African countries!
Commenting on the latest season of the show M-Net Africa Managing Director Biola Alabi says, “One of the main reasons for the success of BIG BROTHER, in Africa and abroad, is that it creates its own stars from the minute housemates step into the spotlight. The show is built on the idea that, given the chance, anyone can be a star, anyone can find themselves shot to stardom. So this year, we’re honoring this essential element of the show, putting the concept of rising stars and dreams of stardom right at the front of what is a challenging, fun, dramatic game.”
In line with this, the STARGAME logo showcases a bold new identity for the series that is both retro inspired yet stylishly futuristic. A large curved font highlights the name in a deep red garnet color, while the iconic Big Brother eye has a liquid platinum finish with a glittering gold mirror-ball at its centre. The logo design also features a glossy accented space pushing forward between the eye and the name, perhaps hinting at a series focused on movement, progress and speed.
But that’s not all…this season, participants from Liberia and Sierra Leone will appear on the series for the very first time, joining housemates from Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe!
So to find out what will happen next…make sure you stay tuned to DStv channels 197 and 198 and/or AfricaMagic Entertainment*, where you can catch all the series highlights.
