The first task of the day definitely tested the Housemates' reaction times. The scenario was as follows: There's a fire in a house and the Housemates need to put it out and save the people inside.
The Downville Housemates started the task first. Three of them needed to extinguish the fire (with buckets of water) and save the three people inside. Ola, Luke and Esperanca volunteered to be the three firefighters. There was a lot of confusion as the Housemates ran around like headless chickens trying to figure out what to do and when to do it. It took the three Housemates two minutes to attend to the burning house. They failed miserably, resulting in the dummies burning to death.
The Upville Housemates started the task twenty-thirty minutes afterwards. Their instructions were slightly different. This time, four people had to be the firefighters and save one person. They were given proper Emergency Service suits and had to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. Lady May, ofcourse, had to put her high heels on in order to save the people. There was also confusion amongst the bunch, and it took them even longer than Downville to achieve the task.
The aim of the task was for all the Housemates to be familiar with the fire drill and evacuation plan, just in case a real emergency arises.
